Even as I look out the window nothing moves, even the grasshoppers have stopped hopping which gives us an advantage of moving in and taking over. We continue to water and feed the lost calico cat Cleo. There is an indention in our tall grass near the food dishes and maybe where she sleeps at night, but we haven't seen hide nor hair of her and we continue to pray for her health in these stagnant temps.
I am assured as the temps will drop she will come inside somewhere, it's been 4 months she's been out, if she's moved on to someone else, something is eating the food. The dogs smell something as they run for the edge of the fence, sniffing and marking.
We met new people at the market today, some friends stopped to visit and others just curious and wished they had a dog so they could purchase our treats. Remember, the Humane Society has dogs looking for homes, begin there. Our two dogs are 2nd chances, did their previous homes know their personality's and kindness? We do and we are blessed to have them home with us.
Stay cool and protect your pets.
Take care.
