From children to dogs, whether they are in front with you or the bed of a pickup, they trust us with their lives, then some idiot drives in front of us and "forgets" to use their turn signal. Brakes are used immediately often times sending dogs forward at a jolt without warning.
We went for a long awaited ride Saturday evening and I tell the dogs when we are going to turn, go into a curve, bump and we're stopping. They seem to adjust the pads of their feet to move with the car and human passengers say, they don't understand, but they do. They await my cue and we keep distance from other vehicles so we can stop or slow down quickly with warning.
Buster had befriended a neighbor's cat several years ago and now those neighbors have moved and when they came back for their cats, they both sensed something was up and kept distance, one less tame and one calmer and her name is Cleo. I'm not a cat person, there I've said it, but I don't want to see them hurt or freightened either. They are beautiful and they have humans that love them as much as I love my dogs. Cleo meow's and I call for her, last night I saw her in our drain field nestled in the tall grass. I took water and food for her in a clearing and went to tell my neighbor, who is a cat person. We now have 3 neighbors involved, please say an extra prayer for Cleo and the lost cat so we can reunite them with their family that lives many miles away.
Keep your passengers safe, we rely on you.
Enjoy your week, take care.
