In the kitchen...

...is where everyone eventually ends up before sitting down on the holidays or any gathering. Growing up there was always tasting, testing and something running down someones chin. Mom's kitchen was small, but it certainly held the warmth fitting everyone it in. Some leaned up against the cabinets with something to drink, others stirring gravy or whipping potatoes, eventually plates were carried to the table, everyone sat where thankful prayer was always present as it is today.

We had a wondrous Thanksgiving Day, from food to blessings, prayers of thanksgiving and good will to others. We planned a long walk and ride spending the afternoon outside playing and family fun. There wasn't anywhere else we wanted or needed to be, but with each other. It's not often we take a whole day off, we gathered, ate and slept well at night. We are blessed! We asked for a blessing to friends, their "kids" and to those that are less fortunate, we simply pray for warmth, food, water and good home to rest. Thank you friends for your blessings to us, we keep you close! Amen.
