Autumn Days

Our busy schedule came to halt this Summer.  We need to be more specific with our prayers. Better the human to be under the weather than the dogs. Spending more time with the dogs was needed and appreciated. Yard work help from friends was required.

Eli, towed away
We won't be attending the Zonta Holiday Fair in November. We are back to baking dog treats on cool Autumn days, taking and filling orders. Feel free to contact us.

For those coming through or live in the Pierre and Fort Pierre SD area, our dog treats are available at Bliss and Sweet Peas, one of the St. Charles store fronts in Pierre, SD.  They have various fun shapes in different sizes. We also fill orders and ship out. Connect with us and we'll make sure your dogs, granddogs and neighbor dogs don't run out of treats.

Take time to enjoy your fur, they enjoy as much, if not more, as the humans do.
Help animals that cross your path needing a bit more assistance. We'll do the same.

Take care friends.

We've been approved!

Hundreds of just baked
It is 8 o'clock on a Sunday evening, our oven is off for the day. We baked many dog treats this weekend and long hours. We have wanted to do a particular fair for several years and now we have been invited directly by the vendor committee. Mark your calendars, Saturday, June 25, 2016 we will be at #OaheDays #PierreSD. It is three days, but we will only be in the park on Saturday.  A gal had seen us and purchased treats for her dog from the farmers market we attend. She got the ball rolling.

For Oahe Days, an application is filled out and reviewed by the board. They are looking for something new, out of the ordinary, and eye catching. Even though we were told, "We really want to see your dog treats down at the park for Oahe Days." An application still needed to be filled out and sent. it was final this week. We, have been approved. (tickled)

We have lined up friends to help with several tasks and more are on board. We have good friends and they don't blink an eye, donate their time, with a 'what can we do to help." #Phenomenalfriends.

Buster by the cool vent
Back to treats, Buster looks for a cool spot on the floor. As the spot warms where he naps, he gets up and finds another patch of floor. Smart critter.

Having just two weeks to wrap this all together, we have bag labels to make, bags to fill, tent spikes to find, panels to purchase and bug spray. With friends coming and going, the day will unfold just as it will. Steamboat Park sits along the river, was nearly destroyed by the 2011 flood, but, it has thrived. It will be lovely to sit, read in downtime, visit and treat leashed dogs. I do love this beautiful park. When we sell out, we can pack up and go.

Don't forget, our treats are sold at Bliss and Sweet Peas at the St. Charles. A wonderful store with a cheerful welcome.

Until then, in these hot temperatures, be kind to animals that need help, especially water and shade. Check on your neighbors outdoor dogs if their pack is not home, or is, sometimes everyone needs a little extra.  Be concerned, we are. We continue to help where we are needed.

Have a good week friends!

Spring ahead

Carlee and Buster
Happy New Year and we hit the floor running. Carlee
rings in the new year with a howl and captive audience. The kids are furry and happy. But, let's be honest, we are looking forward to warmer and longer days. March 13th is the weekend to spring ahead.

Buster, our polar bear, naps
As we work on our todo list, Buster naps on it. Our list is long, at the top of our list is building a ramp, for everyone to use. We lift Buster down our few steps. He is re-learning the yard and can find his way back, springing back up our few stairs. For now we'll attach a gate and a mini ramp is in place. He's not sure about it, but we'll guide and help him, as we do now.

We have been testing new 'human' treats for the 2016 farmer's market season. We'll add a toffee, savory scones and yes, our baked goods are fresh. We get up early, sweet rolls are often still warm to the touch at opening bell. And, they melt in your mouth. We have become a weekly stop for many people, (you don't need a dog to stop and treat yourself). Taste testers are lined up to taste new ideas.

Small Savory Chicken dog treats
Til then, keep us in mind when you need a refill of dog treats. Delivery is free for Pierre/Fort Pierre SD city limits. We deliver in daylight hours only as not to scare waiting dogs. Our treats have traveled far, customers have sent to family fur as far away as Sweden, Afghanistan and closer to home, New York City. As you know, or maybe you don't, our treats have a long shelf life. When ready to treat, they are a quick crunch, ready to please any waiting dog.

Contact us, let's connect and see what we can find for your friends.

As always, we help where we can to dogs that need help, we hope that you do the same.
Take care friends.
