The first storm passed through about 7:15am, we had packed our vehicle ready for the Farmer's Market. Driving into town, clouds had gathered and unloading carrying rebar I said, "Nothing like carrying lightning rods in a thunderstorm." The light show started shortly thereafter. There's something about lightning under a metal tent top, with a metal chair and table. We wait for storms at home, but I just couldn't make myself stand underneath the tent, I went around the corner of a store front and stood under their metal awning moving slowly towards their door.
People asked if we weren't concerned about the weather, because they were. We nodded like bobbleheads. Soon the storm had passed and people were popping out of cars to purchase vendor products of leafy greens, artisan breads, grass fed beef and dog treats. The Saturday mornings are similar to family gatherings, smiles, samples and in good company.
Once again the rumblin is heard, the dogs lay close by and yard work is at a loss for the day. Time to close, stay safe and keep your dogs close.
