So we meet again...

Fog was so thick this morning, we really had to keep an eye on the dogs. Both dogs are white, they would simply walk a few feet and disappear. Freaky really. Walking 'round the fence line I'd step on something and then it would move...ah, a dog. Apologizing to the dog, they'd rest their front paws on my leg as if to say, "So, we meet again." Seeing the outline of the stairs, I swept the deck free of frost calling out and then our little whistle. Entering the house, they were so excited to see me and I them.

Running low on broth for treats, we let beef broth simmer many hours and it made the cabin smell wonderful on this chilly day. Litters of pups were turned into the Humane Society this past week, so we gathered what small treats we had and handed them over. The dogs were curious, tilting their heads as to where and what was going on, we said, "there are pup's that need some help and love." As long as we keep a few for ours, we're good. We'll bake again tomorrow.

We wish you warmth and comfort in your homes; we continue to pray for those dogs that wait for their human and that love find them first.
