Heavy, wet and white...

We're not necessarily talking about the dogs as it is the same description as the new snow that fell so silently last night and continues at this writing. The snow is beautiful and stays put once it lands where it drops, heavy, wet and great for making snowdogs, maybe we'll make a snowman to go along with it.

Long-legged Carlee loves making tracks in the new snow, in similar shapes I doodle on a piece of paper. Buster's tummy hair drags along the new snow and creates a pattern of what the bottom of a sled would create. Different creatures. We've come to realize as a storm is pending, the dogs get irritable and selective hearing is out the window. Yes, they are scolded. No we do not hit them. To relieve stress they each get a rawhide chew at night, only when we are home, when the humans are gone during the day, the rawhide bones are out of reach.

Buster isn't feeling well, his stomach makes sounds as if he swallowed the neighbor's cat, which by the way, is missing. He lays close and the roles of protector are switched. As soon as I move, he'll follow and wind up in my lap. Morning and evening, its become a lovely, warm routine.

A gal from work stumbled me across a blog she follows, check it out:
http://www.goodfortunefarmrefuge.org/beulah.htm you'll need to cut and paste into your browser, it's a good read.

Enjoy the snow, go out and make a snowdog!
'til later
