Cheese...

Carlee is a magnet for cheese, even to reach out to zip off the new top as we bake treats she is at my heel, ready and waiting for something to drop. I laugh as she knows well, our floor is clean. She's also a very good vacuum.

We baked treats yesterday replenishing our past weekend and preparing for the Ladie's Day out at the Pierre Senior Center, Oct 30th from 9-3. The weather will be pleasant and though the time is short, it is also sweet. Still able to get home before dark and empty pots of plants or what we don't get done at night after work.

The chill in the air has kicked in our heat and it feels good, it is afterall the end of October and the turn of seasons and fall back of time is just around the corner.

Buster is outside watching the neighbor spread gravel with his bobcat, wishing for a ride I am sure. Carlee is snuggled on a bed somewhere as they are scattered about the cool wood floors.

On that note, its time to curl up into a warm supper of steamed dumplings and potato's...a warm memory food, comforting. Enjoy your comfort foods, curl up under a dog or blanket and enjoy your evening.

Take care friends.

  1. ahhh...you gave me an excellent idea and am simmering some nice thick creamy squash soup. Altough I have had to fire up the pellet stove...I love the fire burning through the window. It's the ONLY thing I really look forward to in winter! See you soon!! ;)
