Duke is one of many displaced dogs, he was placed in a local kennel for a few days at a time while his family raced against the clock moving their belongings out of their home before more water came in and pray for the best. Their son is staying with friends, Duke at the kennel and his Mom/Dad have found a small living space also. Duke always happy to see his Mom as he was picked up from the kennel, but this time was different, he thought she wasn't coming back.
Duke waited, he stopped eating and his system began to shutdown. It was seven days, he would eat only treats, Bab's treats. His Mom called and told me the story. Duke is getting back to health, he has a yard to run in, roll and play in the grass, maybe even chasing squirrels. After each meal, he gets a Bab's treat and soon they'll all be in the same home temporarily.
We pray for all the displaced animals, elderly and pray for the best. Routines broken, hearts hurt and prayers sent. Pray for the best and have a safe week friends.
