Merry Christmas from the cabin...

Last night as the dogs were tucked into their beds, they were told a wonderful Christmas gift would be to sleep in after 6am. They heard each word as the jingle of Buster's collar didn't wake our silence until 6:32am. An arm is draped over the bed waiting for his fluffy head to appear. Carlee is giddy with excitement and we all stretch the sleep away.

Christmas morning outside was cloudy with thousands of birthday lights celebrating Jesus birthday. Homes were still dark, deer lay nearby and breath hung still in the crisp air. Happy Birthday we sang ever so quietly, o come let us adore Him!

Gifts tucked into handmade bone-shaped stockings for the kids and wool draped our shoulders for warmth. Another beautiful celebration. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed day of celebration however you choose to celebrate. Peace and goodwill all year through to all of you.

Take care friends, hug your dogs today, keep them warm and give a little extra in their dishes.

  1. Had to post -- the owners of the dogs that I bought the treats for proclaimed that the dogs LOVE the treats.

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here at Hakatopia. The Frost is thick and white is covering everything. Now for me to drink that last drop of coffee and bundle up to do chores. Gorgeous day to you and yours,
