The night before last a chill had stirred me about 4am, waking Carlee I simply whispered, "keep me warm." With all her weight she fell against my back and pushed until she could move no more. I smiled and thought, if she were any closer she'd be in front of me, but I asked for warmth and she provided until it was time to get up and moving.
She must've had a litter before she came to us, her instincts are spot on and she is very caring, loving and a bit protective. Yes, she is the girl that keeps track of the yellow fuzzy duck. If she cannot find it, she expects us to find it and she'll wait patiently until she nearly shakes out of her skin with anticipation. Then in a split second something will spook her, she moves like lightning and quickly finds me. Will this spookiness leave?! We console and reassure, "you are home, you are safe" and is allowing more hugs. No one should fear their home, it should be the same for our animals.
Take care friends.
