Where has the Summer gone?

Autumn has already rounded the corner bringing shorter days and time changes, falling back for an extra hour of sleep. Our dogs wake at 5am, time frame to them hasn't changed, making longer days for the humans. Apparently a quick out, treat and saying '1 hour' helps them sleep and us not, but we can rest and plan for the day.

Zonta Holiday Fair is this weekend (November 14 & 15, 2015) at the Ramkota Inn/Pierre SD. Bab's Bites 'n Bones will be there, we've asked for the same area. If you're out and about, stop by, say hi. We'll have ornaments in various shapes, stocking stuffers' and our always fun Barkers Dozen and message bone bags. All our treats are handcut, homemade, 'spiked' with homemade beef and chicken broth. Our dogs are worth it, we think yours are too.

Name plate ornaments

We do create name plate ornaments. We sell at $3 each, Dimensions are 6 inches long and 2 inch wide. We ship our product. Our contact information is at the top of  the blog. Feel free to contact us, email is best. Treats take up to a week to dry, please plan accordingly. We don't bake dog treats the week of Christmas. We bake human treat gifts for family and friends.

Friday the 13th is crisp and a cool 22 degrees this morning. We have yet to insulate our home in a few areas and then we will be ready for Winter. If we have a wonderful warm three months, we would be okay with that forecast. Buster, our insulin diabetic Westie, continues to do well. He is regulated. His eyesight has diminished, but other senses have picked up. He wonders what is in store for our day, he is ready for a ride that doesn't include the vet's office and we are already running behind.

We search for Brandi, a Springer Spaniel, that ran with her sister June 13, 2015 in Pierre, SD.  Her sister returned and Brandi didn't. Brandi is 4-5 years old. White with liver patches. Red collar and tag. She had a rope lead on her, but has been seen without it. With information provided by the family, and ok given by the family, we have hung posters, given to residents in 'last seen' areas. Someone may have taken her in without knowing she was missing, but she has her collar and tags on. In hopes we can find her soon, her recent sighting has kept her far from home. If she would turn around and walk back as far as she has gone, she would be home. Please help those that need extra, from shelter, food and water. Patience to gain their trust. We continue to do our part, getting families back together.
