Walking out the door at 6:30 this morning, I caught the glimpse of the first flakes. It was chilly this morning, but could it have been real. Saying a quick prayer, like I do, they disappeared as quick as they came. We're not ready for flakes or anything accumulative, with that being said, though it's nice to have snow on Christmas Eve, my heart is telling me, it's okay to have nice weather until closer to Spring. By then, we'd be on the downslide of Winter.
Plans this year are to cover Jack, he'll be 16 in January after all these years sitting under the stars, perhaps it's time for another blanket to draw up and over til Spring. He does us well getting good gas mileage, someday a garage.
Baking treats of shapes and ornaments for Christmas, St. Nickolas helpers will be selling handmade Christmas stockings at the Zonta Fair, bone-shaped, heavy, durable and oh, so cute. Our treats fit nicely inside. Proceeds will go to a no kill shelter in Utah that provides homes for disabled and abused animals. Every animal deserves a little extra at Christmas and we hope this'll give warmth of some kind from human hearts. On that note, hug your animals. Stay warm friends.
