Fog near our prairie follows the river and it is stunning. Billowy fog lifts, rises and hovers over the city with twinkling lights underneath guiding people safely around city streets. Early this morning the dogs ran across the kennel area and tip toe'd back, chuckling not understanding what was under their feet until daylight eeked in and displayed frost, crunchy grass and windows to scrape.
This cool has brought out an extra blanket on the bed and flannel pillowcases. Even the dogs, with their heavy coats, like a light blanket across their back. They sleep deep and snore soundly.
We continue to look for the lost dog that crossed our path many weeks ago, but he has been spotted in town near a business. I called asking if he had been caught, I told our story and they would certainly try and catch, they have treats. So our prayer is that he walk in a building or near a dog loving person. Let that person gently wrap him in a warm blanket, feed, water and let him sleep without fear in a warm place. He certainly deserves it, he's been on the run a long time. Keep your eyes open and prayers for his safety. Until we see you again, stay safe.
